The seasoned actress Rita Edochie has refuted rumors that she was abducted.

Speaking on social media, she said that the article and movie about the kidnapping that were published a few days earlier were purely for entertainment value and did not depict an actual event.

Edochie apologized for the post’s negative effects and for causing confusion by emphasizing that she had not been abducted.

According to her:

“I JUST OBSERVED THAT THE WRITE UP /VIDEO I POSTED FEW DAYS AGO CONCERNING ABDUCTION AGGRAVATED QUITE A NUMBER OF ISSUES .

PLEASE IT IS NOT REAL, I WAS NOT KIDNAPPED, IT WAS ONLY FOR CONTENT PURPOSES.
PLEASE MY FANS AND GREAT LOVERS OF RITA EDOCHIE, IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH WHAT JUST HAPPENED, I SINCERELY APOLOGISE.
