Social media users were furious and took to the platform to voice their complaints, accusing the musician and his crew of being part of the horrible circumstances.

The artist’s reputation was further damaged by the emergence of films that were critical of him.

In addition, a number of music platforms, like Soundcity and MTVBase, have formally declared that they are not affiliated with the music of Naira Marley.

Their announcement that they would not be playing his songs was a major blow to the musician.

Naira Marley has, however, unexpectedly earned her social media following back, adding 100,000 new Instagram followers.

The public claims that the once-vehement protests against him have subsided and that some Nigerians are even willing to pardon him.
